The Great Margarita Hunt

House Frozen

After standing in line for an hour to vote at our local library after a long day at work, the idea of a margarita with dinner kept us out when we were tired enough to go home.  Pappasitos off of US59 at Dairy Ashford has served us several times a year for many years.  A little on the pricey side as compared to the other Mexican food chain restaurants we have to choose from.  We like to sit in the booth tables close to the bar.

We started with a frozen house margarita and a top-shelf option.  It was a decent margarita at $8.95 with 3 of 5 margarita glasses for the original margarita.  The Pappasito’s Reserva Margarita was a fair price at $11.95 for a top-shelf margarita.  Made with Corazon Reposado tequila hand-selected for Pappasitos Cantina, Grand Marnier, and organic agave nectar we give it 4 margarita glasses.

White Lightning Margarita

Our waiter was very enthusiastic about a White Lightning margarita not available on the menu and made with Herradura Silver, house mix and Cointreau.  It was okay.  3 margarita glasses

For dessert, I ordered the frozen margarita flight for $19.95 with four mini margaritas: BlackBerry Sangria Swirl, Mango Chile, Guava Coconut, Caramelized Pineapple – I enjoyed trying the flight.  The Caramelized Pineapple was my favorite at 3 ½ margarita glasses.

The hunt continues…
