Traditional Margarita

Kukulcan

Located upstairs inside Museo de la Isla de Cozumel, we sat on a patio overlooking El Malecon, officially the Avenida Rafael E. Melgar which runs north and south along the waterfront in Cozumel. This is the first time we enjoyed museum worthy art on our way to sample margaritas.
We ordered a Traditional Margarita made with a house tequila, Contreau, and lime juice. It wasn’t the best lime juice but it was a decent margarita. We give the margarita 3.5 margarita glasses. We also tried a tequila drink called Kukulcan, named after a flying feather snake. The Kukulcan is much better than the visual of a flying feather snake. The tequila mixed with raspberries and home made sweet and sour was good, and we are not fans of sweet and sour mix. We give the Kukulcan 4 margarita glasses.
Service wasn’t the best, but the museum setting and view of the Malecon, made the margaritas worthy of a spot on the map.

The hunt continues….
