Grand Anejo

An early dinner on Veteran’s Day brought us to Los Cucos in Jersey Village. Walking in we saw a picture of a Kiwi Cucumber Margarita. Normally a refreshing combo, this would not be our first choice in November but with the unseasonably warm weather, we thought we would give it a try.
Kiwi Cucumber Rita
A definite winner –  fresh cut slices of kiwi and cucumber with Milagro Silver Tequila, fresh squeezed lime juice & organic agave nectar with Tajín on the rim – this is worthy of a 4.5 margarita glass rating. You don’t want to stop with one!

Grand Anejo Rita
As usual, we ordered the House Margarita. It was okay, with a rating of 3 margarita glasses. The chips and salsa were good, as was our dinner of fish and the tortilla soup with chicken. The soup was excellent and served with fresh tortillas on request; it was enough for two meals. Perfect comfort food and a good companion to the third margarita, the Grand Añejo.
Ultra premium Don Julio Añejo Tequila, Grand Marnier with fresh squeezed lemon and limes juices, and organic agave nectar made a good margarita. We gave it a rating of 3.5 margarita glasses.
We enjoyed our food and the service enough to look for the opportunity to return to try the Watermelon Margarita and repeat the Kiwi Cucumber Margarita. Yum!

The hunt continues…..
