We visited Blue Agave Cantina during Happy Hour on a Thursday. We found the House Frozen Margarita to be good, and a little heavy on the Triple Sec and is only $5 during happy hour. We gave it 3.5 margarita glasses out of a possible 5.
Next we tried the White Lightning Margarita made with Herradura Silver and Cointreau with fresh lime juice. It is a good margarita regularly priced at $12 but is $6 for Happy Hour. We gave it 4 margarita glasses.
Our favorite for the evening was the Blue Agave Rita for 4.5 margarita glasses, made with Herradura Reposado Tequila, Gran Marnier, fresh lime juce, and agave nectar. All are quality ingredients and you can taste them blended perfectly into this excellent margarita. This margarita has an orange forward flavor, and the Gran Marnier is not too strong and is balanced nicely with the Herradura Reposado. Order two when you have a designated driver 😉 This quality of margarita is sold for much more at other establishments.
