It is National Margarita Day AND Twosday (2/2/22) – could there be a better combination? We met up with friends for our first visit to Irma’s Southwest and to kick off the hunt on this fun holiday.
The first margarita was the special in honor of National Margarita Day. Tres Patron is made with – yes – that’s right, Patron. It was a good start and we give it 3 margarita glasses out of 5. The margaritas were all rimmed with Tajin and salt.
El Jefe Rita was our favorite drink of the night. It is made with double Don Julio, Grand Marnier, and lime juice. The blend was near perfect and we have it 4.5 margarita glasses.
The Irma Rita is a good margarita made with Socorro Blanco, Jalisco 1562 and Irma’s Lemonade. We ordered more than one Juan Skinny Margarita, made with Cincoro Blanco, Jalisco 1562, and lime juice. We gave both margaritas a 4 out of 5 margarita glasses.

Our server Matthew was great. Between the margaritas and the service, Irma’s is the perfect stop for a margarita in downtown Houston.

The hunt continues…..
