A friend of The Great Margarita Hunt recommended this Mariano’s location for our first visit to Dallas to search for great margaritas. It was a busy Friday evening, and we were ready for our margarita after a brief 15-minute wait. The atmosphere and décor was perfect and celebrates Mariano’s claim as the home of the world’s first frozen margarita machine.
The Frozen House Margarita is a good margarita with a nice consistency. We give it 3.5 margarita glasses.
The Mexican Martini is made with Herradura Reposado, Cointreau, fresh lime and orange juice, and is  hand-shaken. This is a good Mexican martini that is very good with the olives, and we give it 4 margarita glasses.
The Mariano is made with Don Julio Reposado, fresh lime, Cointreau, and is hand-shaken and on the rocks. We love the flower made from a lime sitting on the rim of the glass. This is a nice, well-blended margarita. We give The Mariano 4.5 margarita glasses.
The Spicy Cool Cucumber Margarita is made with Herradura Silver, King’s Ginger Premium Liqueur, hand-muddled fresh cucumber, jalapeño, and fresh-squeezed lime juice. Tajin is on the rim. This is one of the best spicy cucumber margaritas we have tried. It is refreshing with a perfect blend of tequila, cucumber, and jalapeño. We give this margarita 5 margarita glasses.
Wanda’s Margarita is made with fresh hand-muddled limes, Herradura Silver, Cointreau, and is hand-shaken. This is a yummy margarita, a little on the sweet side, but we hear Wanda is sweet, so it fits this margarita. We give this margarita 5 margarita glasses.
We enjoyed our visit with good food and great guacamole. Mariano’s has a great selection of margaritas to bring you back to visit more than once.

The hunt continues…..
